another blog.

11. Her family is much more modern than the governments wants them to be. They are true patriots who only want the best for there country even if it means breaking the law and a lot of protesting. They raised there daughter not to fall into the propaganda and to be a bad ass rebel and believe what she believes and nothing else. <--im not sure how much sense that made. It would be hard to raise a child in any time of war so I think her parents are doing a great job. I think they get all of the strength they have from friends and family. Its the reason they have so many parties, its a chance to get together with the people you need by your side to get through the hard times. Without others they would all go insane and die.
14. Well stories whether fiction or non fiction give us all ideas to use in our own lives. For example feed might make someone consider there spending habits and make them want to change from being a super consumer to someone who is trying to resist the feed. The main character encounters so much death as such a small child that it begins to be portrayed as no big deal, thats how much the stories of people affected her.
15. I have no idea what satrapi is suggesting about the realationship between past and present. well maybe that its the second invasion of iran. i dont know. and her family has a lot of history of being rebelious and wanting what is right. such as anoosh. he was awesome. but he died becuz he went against the government.and all these stories shaped the way she acts and talks. she speaks her mind even when she shouldnt. Thats not like me at all. i never really heard my parents talking about big things like that so i guess it never effected my life like it did hers.

persepolis blog.

First off. I did not enjoy this book. I found it boring and hard to not fall asleep to. But because I don't want to fail again, I read it.
2.I think its really hard for a fictional book to be as meaningful as a non-fiction book because you know it never actually happened. People can get attached to a character if they know that person actually existed. When you know someones not real and there just a made up thing it makes them less human because they can do anything the writer says they did.
5.I think the writers voice is very appealing in the sense that it is bold and actually kind of uninformed and bias. I suppose for a young girl she was pretty smart but you could also see parts of the book in which the propaganda of the military had gotten to her and she wanted to fight. The thing I liked least about her is when she randomly claimed that she really liked that boy who was moving away and that this was the first and only time in the book he is talked about.
7.Ordinary people in Iran guess would have to laugh to keep from going insane. With all that crap going on and parties and fun stuff to be not allowed, how douchy is that?!?! It made me laugh when the dad said the teacher had a mustache. I think this is what i relate to most in this book because I find humor in stuff most people would think is down right fucked up. Like a few days ago i said a comment in english about oprahs school and people looked at me like i was satan.
9.If i were a child in that environment i would probably be one of the kids who joined the military with my key to heavon. Im suprized that they would do this knowing the risk of them getting killed. Its not a big deal to wear jeans at least not to me but then again I cant stand jeans.
13. Religion affects everything. Espeacialy in the middle east. It is scary when a religion becomes a political power like islam and christianity are today. (theres probably more that i dont know of). In the book there is the islamic revolution where the religion takes control over the country and soon enough laws are put in place that makes everything start to go backwards such as the closing of the universities. Thats some crazy shit right there! dam i cant believe it took me this many things to write that many words. it makes me sadface.

i like zebras

I thought this was funny because i was thinking about how the anti conformists actuall are conformists because they all kinda look like that and are not as individual as they believe themselves to be.there so many people on the planet its kinda impossible to be a conformist to some degree

it says it all right there. its the world in three words. yay!

“Missing the feed”. This chapter is there to give the reader a better explanation of what the feed is and how and when it was made. It also talks about the corporations which are basically the government in the sense that there that powerful and it appears corrupt. Titus knows this but just keeps his mouth shut. This shows that he looks at things from a basic and optimistic perspective. The corporations are bad in the sense that they control the world and who knows what kind of scary shit there up to but the plus side is that they supply jobs to almost the entire world. For that reason I don’t like Titus. He’s an ass. Actually I think I’m saying this because of stuff he does later to Violet.
In what ways does Titus’ view of love differ from Violets? It seems to me like her idea of love is that they meet and fall in love right away and it has to be romantic. Its like the view of love today which to them is far in the past that love is probably much different to them. His is all futuristic and awesome! Love is shacking up and talking a lot. I looked at the prompt sheet and noticed we were suppose to put our own experiences in this but nothing in this book relates to me very much. I tend not to go with the norm.?? Some would probably disagree with that but as far as I know I make my own choices. For example: I plan on becoming a marine when most of the people I know are completely against it. Haha today I was in a mall for the first time in maybe a year? And I went through all the stores and realized how douchie I thought they all were. Especially ambercrombie and fitch? I doubt I spelt that right. Oh and I want an image..but it doesn’t really match up to any of this….
